Setting
aside and paying a final lump sum or balloon payment at the
end of your agreement period can be an attractive alternative
to straight forward Hire Purchase.
You
still pay a deposit but by opting to pay the larger amount at
the end of your agreement, your monthly repayments are noticeably
reduced. The final balloon amount you pay should be less than
the anticipated market value of the vehicle at the end of the
agreement.
This final value is often referred to as the residual value.
