Also
known as an Operating Lease, your vehicle is hired to you for
a fixed period based on how long you want the vehicle for and the
estimated mileage you will cover during that period.
These two factors allow a projected residual value
of the vehicle to be determined at the end of the lease
period.
Monthly rentals are based on the difference between the price
of the vehicle when new and the projected residual value plus
finance charges. This means that only a proportion of the vehicle’s
value is being repaid which avoids any large initial capital
outlay and reduces the monthly costs.
At
the end of the contract period the vehicle is returned, removing
the worry of disposal. You
carry no risks on the residual value from the proceeds of the
sale. |

contract. Contract
Hire rentals are subject to VAT @ 17.5%. If the vehicle
is made available for private use you can
reclaim only half the VAT. Full VAT is reclaimable on any
service, maintenance or repair costs. |
